Government Funded Training Courses, tailored to support individuals and businesses.
The Skills Support for the Workforce Programme is an initiative designed to support employers and individuals affected by the pandemic.
Skills Support for the Workforce is a tailored service to meet individual and employer needs, offering a wide range of Government funded training courses.
A dedicated Partnership Coordinator will work with you and your team to identify the best sources of support and training to help you achieve both business and individual goals.
Co-financed by the Education & Skills Funding Agency and the European Social Fund.
What’s in it for me?
Government Funded Training Courses, tailored training that supports both individuals and businesses by reducing or removing the cost of training staff.
It is a tailored service designed to meet your business needs and offers a wide range of skills training, qualifications and networking opportunities to support workplace success, including;
- A training needs analysis for your business, identifying the skills you need to support your business ambitions
- Flexible government funded training courses – pick full qualifications or mix and match individual units to suit your business
- On-the-job vocational training to meet individual and business needs including taught learning, workplace assessment, distance learning and online learning
- Access to Vocational Qualifications, Digital and Employability Skills, Functional Skills, Upskilling for Workplace Success and Career Progression Training
- Learning pathways for your employees enabling them to either re-train if under threat of redundancy or progress within your organisation onto higher level qualifications or apprenticeships
- Access to a range of recognised accredited qualifications and government funded training courses to enhance employees’ skills
What’s my commitment?
The following eligibility criteria apply for anyone accessing support through Skills Support for the Workforce or government funded training courses:
- The workplace must be a safe learning environment
- The learner has to be employed by the organisation (or self-employed)
- The learner has to be eligible to work in the UK – evidence will be required
- The learner must be aged 16+ (no upper age restriction)
- The training has to be delivered within the LEP region and by one of the contracted Skills Support for the Workforce Training Providers

How does it work?
We work with employers to identify skills gaps and recommend bespoke training plans which will give your workforce the skills they need. And the best bit – the training up to Level 2 is free.
We’ll then work with an approved local training provider to design and help you deliver your training plan

Step 1: Firstly, we recommend that you register with us because when you do we'll ensure you are kept in the loop with all the latest Government incentives as they are announced.
Step 2: Once you have registered your business with us you can book your free needs assessment with an Advisor by selecting one of the three durations below, then choose your preferred day and time and we'll do the rest.
