New Skills Bootcamp courses are now live!

Tighter budgets have been no new concept to businesses over the last couple of years. It means that businesses need to maximise resources, improve retention and reduce recruitment costs.

There is good news however, The Skills Network has recently released three new Skills Bootcamp courses to fill growing demands across England. Business owners can upskill staff at a 70-90% discount on courses worth up to £2,500, via Government funding. Speed Networking in Luton Buzz Networking

Want to get your business and services in front of 49 businesses in one super-efficient, extremely powerful face-to-face networking session? Try this one-off Speed Networking in Luton on Tuesday 10th January 2023 at 10 am.

Featuring seven tables of 7 guests, all from different businesses, meeting at the beautiful South Beds Golf Club, this event promises to be a fantastic way to kick-start your year.

Using the Buzz matrix, you’ll be given ‘moves’ to make every 15 minutes which means that you get a chance to present your business to every attendee in the event while speaking to each person in the room just the once.

On each table/move each attendee will present their business for roughly one minute, with questions and chat between the mini sessions making it a pleasant, relaxed version of speed networking.

There’s even the opportunity to sponsor a table for just £35 which gives you even more exposure in the marketing before and after the session and gives you pride of place at the event.

Arc Innovation Festival: Grant Writing Workshop – 6th December 2022

In partnership with Innovate UK, the University of Bedfordshire are hosting an informative Grant Writing Workshop to offer regional SMEs some much needed direction and support in writing successful funding applications. Spaces are limited.

Join us on the 6th December 9am-1.30pm, Luton Campus, to access vital tips and tools and learn how to improve future funding submissions.

Collaborative partners, Innovate UK Edge, will also join us to highlight the available funding calls in the region and offer practical advice on ensuring your submission stands out from the crowd.

Our two one-hour practical sessions offer business leaders step-by-step guidance and ‘best practice’ tips on how to write successful grant applications (based on funding opportunities via Innovate UK & the University of Bedfordshire’s Innovation Bridges* programme).

Attending organisations will get access to:

  • Step-by-step advice on what you should include in your applications
  • Practical skills and ‘best practice’ for completing all manner of funding bid submissions
  • Details on funding opportunities that are available in your area, with details on how to apply
  • 1:2:1 support from the University of Bedfordshire Business Advisor (after the event) to finalise and submit your application

The event is part of the ARC Innovation Festival, hosted by Innovate UK in partnership with Arc Universities Group and South East Midlands Local Enterprise Partnership (SEMLEP) – taking place from 5th to 9th December 2022.

The ERDF funding stream offers eligible SMEs fully funded expert consultancy to help you develop your innovation plans and grant opportunities (between £1,000 & £15,000) to implement their idea.
